You and Me and Him Book Launch!!!
As a late-blooming debut author, I was well aware of the fact that this book could possibly be my only book, and therefore my only book launch. So I wanted it to be a party, a celebration of the book, and all the people and the amazing community who made it possible. I held it at a local all-ages venue, The Bartlett. Auntie’s Bookstore sold books. I asked amazing poet Lauren Gilmore to read from her new book, Outdancing the Universe. My friends’ band played covers from the book’s playlist. My favorite local baker at Cake Bakery made cookies for the event and gave them away, just like my main character Maggie would have done. It was packed and fun and energetic and I had so much fun.
